Meri Stockford
Meri's background offers the perfect blend of professional experience in high-end real estate and marketing with a deep personal affinity with land and the West. This combination of marketing savvy and technical real estate and field experience allows Meri to serve Confluence Land Company and its clients with a high level of understanding across the spectrum of the ranch real estate business.
Raised on a small farm on the coast of Maine, she developed a lifelong connection to land and horses-competing across the East Coast in jumping and dressage and serving 10 years in the United States Pony Club, where she built a grounded foundation in horsemanship, care, and discipline. She draws from hands‑on ranch experience gained as a wrangler at Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming and Mountain Sky Guest Ranch in Montana, where she worked to support horse operations, high-touch guest experiences, and off‑grid logistics. She then transitioned to Colorado where she began a career in marketing and real estate transaction management, supporting a top‑producing broker specializing in luxury resort properties. Her marketing and transaction work contributed to over $85M in sales volume in a single year.
Meri holds a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Maine-Orono, where she led marketing for the Outdoor Adventure Center to broaden student access to skiing, climbing, mountaineering, hiking, and paddling.
Now based in the Gunnison Valley, Meri is an active member of the Colorado Horse Council. In her free time she rides and trains horses, skis across the West, paddleboards, hikes with her dog, and pursues creative projects tied to land and animals.
